Who is Andrew?
Pitching Skills & Presentation Skills Speaker / Trainer
A former corporate lawyer, Andrew quit the law in the late 90’s before starting up his own business as a corporate trainer and speaker.
As an MC, Andrew brings his casual yet corporate style to proceedings and is well-known on the conference circuit for his revealing speaker introductions, his improvisational skills and ability to adapt to different audiences.
Andrew also runs educational & interactive keynotes and workshops on Presentation Skills and Pitching Skills.
His clients include BT Financial Group, ANZ, Sanofi Healthcare, QBE, MLC, Aon, McDonalds, KPMG, NSW Health, Hesta, Suncorp, PoolWerx, Sigma, CPA Australia….…………..and his mother-in-law’s bridge club.
Andrew’s hobbies include coaching basketball, shaving his head, eating hot chips, watching ‘Survivor’, walking his dog Pebbles and trying to convince his wife and 3 kids that he has a real job.
Andrew is one of Australia’s most in-demand Professional MC / Hosts (both face to face and virtually).
Andrew has brought his casual yet corporate MC style to countless conferences and events over the past 20+ years, engaging audiences across Australia, the Asia Pacific region, South Africa and the USA. Since March 2020, he now also works as required “live” from his home office or local studios.
Andrew thoroughly researches each client, tailors his material accordingly and writes his own script notes, yet is well known for his quick wit and ability to think on his feet.
He has also become well known for his ability to involve the audience in proceedings, adapt to vastly different audiences and for his improvisational skills.
His unique, intricately researched speaker introductions, his lively conference openings as well as his final night conference summaries transform a potentially dry conference room into an environment where laughter and learning blend seamlessly.
Andrew is not a comedian, although he uses appropriate humour constantly. Rather, he is a specialist Professional MC, so he knows how to make a conference Agenda run smoothly and ensure the conference messages are delivered effectively.
Having worked (pre-Covid19) on several virtual events, appeared on TV many times and presented countless webinars, he is well versed in the world of online events and has now (since Covid) hosted, spoken and trained extensively in the virtual format. See link below.
He is now very comfortable to say he is “Virtually an MC.”
The comments from his impressive list of clients (see testimonials) are testament to his prior planning, unique style of delivery and client engagement.
Andrew will partner with you to bring a new creativity to your event, creating an atmosphere where learning is easier… as people learn more when they have been having fun… resulting in people gaining better value for their conference dollar.

As I reflect on this, umm, let's say 'different' year in the world of conferencing, I wanted to highlight one key aspect of 2020 conferencing, one that our conference industry has had to manage without for most of 2020. Audiences. Or to be specific “live” face-to-face...
Like most of us, in the past 7 or so months I have participated in a myriad of virtual conferences and events (both in front of the camera and as a viewer) and the learning curve has been steep. It seems that we are all experimenting, refining, re-imagining and making...
Wow. Virtually in the space of 5 months, virtually everything in the conference industry seems to have gone virtual. Sure, some small live events and training have managed to happen face to face, but as of August it seems like the whole conference and events industry...
